More than 80% of Uganda’s land is held under customary tenure, yet many pastoralist and Indigenous communities continue to face insecure land rights, growing pressure on communal land, land-related conflicts, and limited livelihood opportunities.
We support communities to secure and protect collective land rights, strengthen customary land governance, and build resilient livelihoods that support both people and nature. Our work recognizes secure land rights as a foundation for sustainable rangeland management, peaceful communities, and long-term economic resilience.
